Spring 2014 — first coffee with Tom
In the spring of 2014 I had coffee with a sort of Mr. Thomas Buchwaldke. Everything I knew about him was symbolized on a little blue flyer he invited to the conference MSK Patriots. If I had an aversion to anything, it was patriotism. Well, but so what. We need to network. I had no idea it would be a year from now MSK Patriots to be moderated by my wife and that together with Tom we will launch several joint projects, e.g. evolution in business culture BusinessCon.
Vision
At that time, I excited myself with the vision that in the future we would educate not only adults, but also actively work with children. I know from experience abroad that the Western world perceives us Czechs and Moravians as very capable, but terribly negative and skeptical, afraid to take risks, unconfident. “Where has your Bata's bold and enterprising spirit gone? “
In order for society to move somewhere fundamentally, we need to have confident people in it who take the world as a place full of possibilities, means and unlimited space for self-realization. In adulthood, we are so concreted in our limiting beliefs that we cast ourselves into the role of passive victim. For example, a deep conviction that the world is a dangerous place, that our life is in the hands of someone else (boss, government, circumstances) and that we can't do anything about it. If we show children the opposite pattern, if we consolidate in them the values and beliefs that will underpin their courage, enterprise and self-confidence, then as adults they have the chance to create a completely different society. They will be more open and less afraid of any change. They will be active, creative, fulfilling and will be fulfilling to other people around them.
Back then, Tom and I were talking about this idea over a cup of coffee and purring with happiness — it's going to be a pain when we get down to it in 10 years!
Spring 2016 — children and sports
Tom calls me this spring: “Roman, remember when we had a conversation about this a couple of years ago? So it's a little earlier here... I got into the lead of the Havířov floorball and now there is room to realize it. “
Why children in sports — I remember well how hockey had a great influence on me as a child. One tastes the principles of life in a nutshell. Moreover, as a child, I enjoyed hockey a lot, I was motivated, and all the lessons were subconsciously enrolled in me much more strongly than for several years in a boring and demotivating school system.
Tom and I agreed to focus on coaches — they have the greatest influence on the kids and if they work with them in this way, they will educate them to the right values and attitudes towards life.
We were the first to organize during the holidays Lean workshop — gamein which coaches experienced the power of teamwork and coaching. At the end of the day during the final evaluation, we were moved by the coaches' self-reflection: “We have not pulled the rope at all until now. We each looked at our results with our children. Instead, we can take individual years as a preparation for a very strong youth — that can be our common goal. “How can kids pull together in a team if the coaches don't?

Now we are waiting for individual coaching of selected coaches. It's a long road, but we've started. We are moving towards a new generation that will think about life differently than we do. I'm really looking forward to that.
